Questions and answers

Medical Equipment Rental FAQ

These answers cover the most common questions families ask before renting a hospital bed, wheelchair, or mobility scooter.

Reservation basics

The website accepts a $50 reservation deposit. Rocam then reviews availability, address, timing, equipment type, and final rental balance.

Contact-first support

Phone and callback support are prioritized because rental timing often depends on discharge windows, delivery access, and inventory availability.

Common questions

How much does a hospital bed rental cost?

Hospital beds rent for $300 per month, including the full-electric frame, rails, sanitized mattress package, and professional home setup. Wheelchairs are $95 per month or $55 per week, and mobility scooters are $175 per month or $95 per week.

Is the $50 deposit the full rental price?

No. The deposit starts availability review and is credited toward the rental if Rocam can fulfill the request.

Does Rocam bill Medicare or insurance?

No. Rocam is a private-pay rental service. You receive an itemized receipt that you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement if your plan allows.

How fast can equipment be delivered?

Same-day delivery is often possible depending on inventory, route timing, and address access. Standard delivery and pickup are free with a monthly rental commitment scheduled at least 48 hours ahead.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Rentals are month-to-month. Keep the equipment as long as it is needed, then schedule a pickup.

What equipment can I rent?

The main categories are hospital beds, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters. Hospital beds can be reserved online; wheelchair and scooter rentals are arranged by phone so dispatch can confirm inventory and fit first.

Can I request a callback instead of checking out?

Yes. Callback is the primary path on paid landing pages and is also available by calling or texting Rocam.
